Ashima Research and the REMS Team finally cease bogus wind reports and day length reports in May, 2013. In late June 2013 the REMS Team radically alters its previously published data, providing air and ground temperartures and even data for when Mars was in conjunction and no data was available. (Updated 6/30/2013)

Ashima Research Posted a concession speech at http://marsweather.com/weather-app-update, but they have a habit of removing material that does not portray their company well, so we took the liberty of preserving their tale of woe on this site at http://davidaroffman.com/rich_text_16.html. Their new post agrees with us that all winds should be listed as N/A since it is well known that the MSL Weather Boom 1 broke on landing, and it further changed all sunrise times and sunset times to basically match our times (within 1 to 2 minutes) rather than hold on to their claim that all sunrises (except for October 2, 2012) occur at 6 am at MSL and all sunsets (except for October 2, 2012) occur at 5 pm. They have still not figured out or had the courage to publish that all the pressure data is wrong too, or that ground temperatures posted on their site (from http://mars.jpl.nasa.gov/msl/images/PIA16081_gomez3-br2.jpg) were also wrong because the ground temperature sensor was also on the broken Boom 1.

Strange Temperature Pattern Posted by REMS for Sols 293 to 299.
